What is the contract length?

1 Year and/or 12 months.

Can I cancel my subscription?

The minimum participation term for participating customers is 12 months. After the initial one-year term of subscription, the subscription will be automatically extended for successive periods of one year each until terminated by written notice, which must be given by one party to the other not more than six months nor less than two months prior to the expiration of the original term or any anniversary thereof. There is no penalty for customers who cancel their subscription, however any customer who terminates participation in Green Future Option would be precluded from re-joining the offering for a period of 12 months.

Will my subscription charge change over time?

No, the subscription charge for this offering will not change over time.

How much will the Green Future Option subscription charge cost?

  • Residential and Commercial customers: $6.50 per kW
  • Residential Low-Income customers: $6.00 per kW
  • In addition to the subscription charge, participating customers will also see a generation credit on their bill that varies based on the output of the solar facility.

What are the enrollment options?

Residential customers can subscribe up to 5kW of their usage.  Commercial and Industrial customers can choose up to 30MW of their usage.

What other fees might I be charged?

There are no additional fees associated with the Green Future Option program.  All other applicable rate schedules or fees for service apply.

How will I be billed?

You will receive a monthly bill for Green Future Option within your monthly utility bill from Entergy Texas.
